Aztec flooring has been servicing the floor covering industry in Tucson since 1967. In 2002 Tucson native Lyle Trotter acquired the company. Trotter brings over 30 years of floor covering experience to Aztec Flooring. For the last past three years Trotter has lead the Aztec Team in the direction of commercial sales and has built a very impressive client base including the City of Tucson, Pima County, University of Arizona, Davis Monthan AFB, Canyon Ranch and Spas and many others. Trotter has solidified the company’s position as a major flooring contractor in Tucson and now Aztec Flooring is considered part of the “A” List with commercial contractors in every area from municipality to medical facilities; to architects to custom home builders.

In July 2005, Matt Caldwell became a partner in Aztec Flooring to assist in strategy and process development. Caldwell’s experience as a former flooring business owner and his vast sales experience in commercial and multi-family residential flooring has given Aztec Floorings the opportunity to develop the retail residential business. In November 2007 Aztec Flooring joined forces with Flooring America to become Aztec Flooring America. Flooring America is a group of 600 independent flooring retailers; that through this association we are able to provide the best warranties and more competitive prices than if we were not associated with flooring America.

As we enter 2008, Aztec Flooring is looking forward to not only becoming a favorite among commercial and retail consumers, but we are looking to becoming a stronger community service force in the Tucson Community. We have sponsored or participated in events such as Cats in the Community, Tucson Mountain Little League, and the U of A Catwalk.
